Modular courses. Academy courses are structured in a modular format, whereby the attendee progresses through, completing one module before beginning the next.
Small class sizes.
Most Academy courses are designed for a small class size – possibly as few as four people. This means attendees receive more attention from the instructors, essential where hands-on installation techniques are being taught.
Understanding the product.
Using the latest teaching aids, attendees are taught to fully understand the product, its usage, application and accessories.
Software.
If the product incorporates computer management, attendees are given comprehensive training, including installation of the application onto the client network or PC, set up of the system and management of the software.
‘Live’ application training.
Attendees are taken step by step through installation of hardware components in a simulated ‘live’ application, allowing installers to fit a system or product in the class before undertaking an actual project for a client.
Legislation.
Understanding the EU and UK legislation is now a major feature of the access and security industry. Academy can offer raining in specification and application of Abloy products in compliance with current directives.
